On the evening of June 1, a motorcyclist was traveling south on Georgetown when a vehicle began pulling out on to the roadway. The vehicle and the motorcycle suddenly stopped, but the motorcyclist was sent flying over the handlebar’s of the bike, causing the victim to hit his head.
The victim, who was said to be in his late 20s to early 30s, was transported to the hospital where he later died. He was not wearing a helmet at the time. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with police. The accident is still being investigated.
